রাশিয়ার একদম দক্ষিণে, দাগেস্তানের গহীন পাহাড়ে এমন এক জায়গা আছে যার সৌন্দর্য হার মানাবে সুইজারল্যান্ডকেও! কিন্তু সবচেয়ে বড় চমক ছিল যখন এই বরফঢাকা পাহাড়ের চূড়ায় এমন একজনের সাথে দেখা হলো, যিনি নিখুঁত বাংলায় কথা বলেন! কিভাবে সেখানে বাংলা পৌঁছালো? জানতে পুরো ভিডিওটি দেখুন!

আজকের এপিসোডে আমি (Rocking Rokim) এবং আমার টিম নিয়ে যাচ্ছি দাগেস্তান প্রজাতন্ত্রের এক অজানা গন্তব্য—'গুনিব' (Gunib)-এ। সমুদ্রপৃষ্ঠ থেকে ১৫০০ মিটার উঁচুতে অবস্থিত এই মেঘের রাজ্যে আজ পর্যন্ত কোনো বাংলাদেশির পা পড়েনি!

A Hidden Mountain Village in Dagestan, Russia

Deep in the mountains of southern Russia lies a mysterious and breathtaking village called Gunib.

Located around 1,500 meters above sea level, Gunib is surrounded by dramatic mountains, clouds, deep valleys and landscapes that look almost unreal.

Our journey began in Makhachkala, the capital of Dagestan. Together with Rafi, Ibrahim and Mohon, we set out on a 154-kilometer journey into the heart of the Caucasus Mountains.

The road itself was an adventure.

After hours of traveling through spectacular mountain landscapes, we finally arrived in Gunib. But we had no idea that the biggest surprise of our journey was waiting for us there.

In this remote mountain village, we met a man who could speak perfect Bengali! 😱🇧🇩

His name is Majed. He had spent many years working at the Russian Cultural House in Bangladesh, and during his time there he learned Bengali.

Standing in the mountains of Dagestan and suddenly hearing my own mother tongue from a local man was an unforgettable experience.

But our adventure didn’t end there.

The next day, we headed toward the mountains and explored the historic legacy of Imam Shamil, one of the most legendary figures in the history of Dagestan and the Caucasus.

After nearly two hours of trekking, we reached the mountain heights and witnessed an incredible view of Gunib from above.

From the hidden mountain roads and Soviet-era vehicles to the mysterious village, unexpected Bengali connection and the history of Imam Shamil—this journey was completely different from any other trip I’ve taken in Russia.
